I bought more keypad and alarm than I needed -at the time however, wood floor installation destroyed hard-wiring. I have the NX-148E-RF wireless keypad already installed closest to where I need some wireless sensors (glass break for casement windows and some contacts on the entry doors of a small guest house, actually a glorified detached garage).I'd have chosen the NX8E if I knew then what I know now. I'll probably replace my existing NX-6V2 panel with "Old Faithful," the NX-8E for future expandability and built-in serial communication for event logging/program changes. My installer's coming over on Tuesday to give things a look-see and give (well, not exactly give) me the benefit of his wireless experience so I don't do anything stupid (should say stupider than usual). So far my main problem is resolved I do have my NX-8e + all sensors in to my Smartthings app so all the expectations are pretty much cover very wellġ.- Instructions very clear and straight forward.Ģ.- Hardware interface quality build excellentģ.- Change Status on the Smartthings Panel App on events very very fast.Ĥ.- Pre and Post Installation support A1, in my case I had some wrong setup he was able to guide me in the right direction to fix the underline problem on my setup.ĥ.- not only Smartthings integration but Alexa too that is a big big plusĦ.I'm in the same boat as you. I was very close to thought out my security panel because of lacking of integration with Smartthings until LeeF show up with his Interface so I got the Alarm System Bridge (main interface) + the Trigger Relay Module from him I would like to express my sincere Tks to LeeFįor the last 6 months I was building my smart home using Samsung Smartthings hub, I have everything pretty much integrated except my CADDX/Interlogic security panel NX-8e, my current setup has 25 zones all wireless ( smoke, water-leak, doors and Motions + Key fobs and LCD keypads ) is been working flawlessly for the last 10 years.
